1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or application. They allow the platform to recognise your browser, secure your account, and remember certain preferences between page loads or visits. In addition to cookies, we may use web browser storage technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage.

3. Browser Storage Used in LHM Web Services
In addition to cookies, LHM Web Applications and LHM Studio utilize your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to enhance client-side performance:
| Storage Type | Persistence & Scope | Stored Data & Operational Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| sessionStorage (Session State) | Temporary: Active browser tab only. Data is automatically cleared when the tab or window is closed. | Holds active match configuration parameters, current Game State Integration (GSI) port statuses, and temporary local overlay preview settings. |
| localStorage (User Preferences) | Persistent: Saved across visits. Remains until manually cleared or revoked via site controls. | Stores non-sensitive UI configuration choices (e.g., dark/light theme preference, grid layout options) and your cookie consent selection. |
4. Third-Party Integrations & Single Sign-On (SSO)
When you log in via third-party identity providers (e.g., Google SSO, Valve Steam OpenID, GitHub, or Discord), those external platforms may place their own authentication cookies on your browser according to their respective privacy policies.
5. Embedded media and security services
- YouTube: YouTube media is not loaded until you choose to play or open it. When loaded, it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed endpoint. Google may still receive request information and may store data after interaction with the player under its own policies.
- Google reCAPTCHA: reCAPTCHA is loaded just in time when a protected authentication or registration action requires an anti-abuse check. Google receives technical request data needed to provide that security service and may use cookies or browser storage under its own policies.
- Adobe Fonts: The site requests its Adobe Fonts stylesheet from use.typekit.net as an external functional resource. This request can disclose ordinary connection data such as IP address, user agent, referrer, and request time to Adobe.
6. Managing Your Preferences
