Dota 2 HUD Case Study

ESB

ESB approached us about implementing their own HUD having unique and innovative solutions that we had to build from scratch, which required a lot of research and commitment to meet expectations. ESB HUD does not have a typical in-game HUD overlay, instead putting the emphasis on statistics, analysis and additional data screens.

Monitor

After preparing the design based on the guidelines from ESB, we proceeded with the development of the HUD, including solutions such as Lane Efficiency, Lane Movement, Gold Spending, Networth, an expanded Scoreboard taking into account the player's position or the MVP screen. ESB had plenty of ideas for new functionalities and extensions to those already implemented, so our team constantly collaborated with the Client and responsively iterated on possible development paths.

As the scope we received was innovative and targeted unique solutions the whole project was challenging and required outside the box approach. Our team was laser-focused to familiarize themselves with the low-level mechanics of the game to find possible solutions and ultimately deliver the best possible value.

The client was pleased with the quality of the interfaces that Lexogrine generated. Lexogrine's team managed the project seamlessly, and everything went according to plan. Moreover, they communicated effectively through emails and messaging apps. Customers can expect a great service.
